Increasing the impact and visibility of the Operational Excellence department throughout the Canon Production Printing organisation

 

Are you a Bsc student which is looking for a practical assignment? Are you ready for the challenge to increase the visibility of the growing Operational Excellence (OE) department within Canon Production Printing? Will you make all CPP employees known about our critical department role in the organisation? We are looking for you!

 

Your assignment

The department Operational Excellence is globally responsible for defining the business processes, depicted in our systems. With the increasing need for new & improved processes and systems, it is critical that our stakeholders throughout the company are familiar with OE’s expert process- and system knowledge and of our critical role. We need you to:

 

  • Create a maintainable product that describes the Operational Excellence department, who we are and what we do.
  • Develop (and implement) a plan how we can increase our visibility in the organisation. How can we structurally connect to our stakeholders, from management to new hires.
  • Additionally: develop a training / information package for the role, responsibilities and ways of working for a “Key User”.

 

You will work together with the Operational Excellence Team; 12 motivated experts who are improving the processes and systems of tomorrow. Of course an alignment with the main stakeholders is also needed to realize an appealing “visualization product”.

 

Your profile

 

  • You are currently studying International Business/Marketing, Communication, Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • You think it’s a challenge to develop and implement a strategy to increase the visibility of the OE department.
  • To be able to fulfil the assignment you need to be creative, have good communication skills and a helicopter view to grasp the essence of OE.
  • You are available for 5 to 6 months for a minimum of 2 days per week.
