Bsc: Internship Mechanical Engineering - Create a registration pin design for cost reduction

Are you an Bsc Mechanical Engineering student and are you looking for a graduation assignment? Are you ready for the challenge to design a new registration pin with a significant cost reduction? We are looking for you!


Your assignment
You will design a new actuated registration pin that has a significant cost reduction compared to the old one. This registration pin is used to position media on a print table just before printing. After positioning this pin will retract into the print table. Your goal will be to decrease the cost of this part while also meeting all the imposed requirements. In the end we would like to have a prototype that meets our requirements. This means that you will have the opportunity to go through a complete design cycle. Your profile
•    You are currently studying Mechanical Engineering
•    You are looking for a graduation internship (Bsc)
•    Knowledge and skills:
•    Conceptual design
•    Mechanical construction principles
•    Experimental validation
•    You are available for 5 months for a minimum of 5 days per week
