Bsc/Msc: Student Job - Data Quality Validation
Are you looking for a student job, available for 2 months, preferably between June and September? Are you curious, critical, and not scared of unstructured data? Then this student job might be interesting to you!
Canon Production Printing R&D is a customer-focused, platform-based R&D organization. To support that customer focus, we are building a Customer Intelligence Platform. The goal is simple but ambitious: make our vast amount of customer knowledge, often anecdotal, unstructured and scattered, accessible and usable for a broad R&D audience.
Today, that knowledge lives in documents, images, presentations, reports, emails and other sources. We are developing an AI-supported platform that processes this data and turns it into structured, searchable customer insights to support customer-focused R&D decisions.
Your job
In this student job, you will play a key role in scaling our efforts and making the platform reliable, based on a large dataset. You will work with the tooling while we continuously improve it.
You will:
• Process large sets of semi-structured and unstructured data using our AI tooling.
• Review and validate AI-generated results such as classifications, tags, summaries and extracted insights.
• Spot obvious mistakes, inconsistencies, gaps and hallucinations in AI outputs.
• Provide concrete, observable feedback to the team so we can improve prompts, models and processing logic.
• Help us build confidence in quality. What works, what fails, what fails often, and why.
You will work closely with the team in R&D and have direct impact on how fast we can scale AI processing in practice.
Depending on your level of AI experience, you can dedicate part of your time to experimenting with your own ideas to improve prompts, models or processing steps.
Your profile
We care much more about drive, curiosity and base-experience than about deep prior expertise.
This role fits you if you:
• Like working hands-on with AI tools and real data.
• Share our drive to make sense of anecdotes, images and unstructured data
• Are critical and precise. You enjoy checking whether things actually make sense.
• Learn fast, and you know how to search for knowledge efficiently when you do not know something.
• Are comfortable working with software tools and prototype digital workflows.
• Are motivated to improve systems rather than just execute tasks.
Experience with AI tools, data processing, scripting or analytics is a plus, not a requirement. Interest in data-driven customer-focused innovation helps!
What’s in it for you?
• In this role, you gain relevant hands-on work experience in the field you are studying
• A gross full-time monthly salary of €2,720.06
• Travel cost compensation if you don’t have an ‘OV-weekcard’
• The possibility to network with professionals inside and outside your field of expertise, thanks to our diversity of disciplines which you will work with
The start- and end date of this student job is estimated 2 months, preferably between June and September. Predicted: 20-40 hrs / week: minimum 64hrs / 4 wks.
