Business Process Expert Accounting & Controlling
32-40 hours per week, hybrid in Venlo (NL)

What You’ll Do

As a Business Process Expert at Canon you will have a crucial role in the Financial Controlling department. The department is facing several challenges due to different projects that are coming up (e.g. implementation of SAP S4/HANA). In addition, processes need to be redesigned and the efficiency of finance processes must be increased.

You will contribute to the success and the transformation of Financial Controlling in close cooperation with our IT and Controlling colleagues within Canon Production Printing. In addition to upcoming projects, your focus is also on participating in day-to-day operations (e.g. period end closing and reporting) to ensure and increase quality. You advise on key operational issues and recommendations to optimize business performances. As business process expert you are of big value for the team by always thinking in total processes and maintaining the helicopter view.

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Initiate and implement process changes within primary processes.

• Increase efficiency by redesigning supporting processes within Finance and Logistic disciplines, by optimizing IT systems.

• Improve employee knowledge by sharing expertise and describing processes and changes adequately.

• Provide requested analysis regarding business performance reviews.

• Lead multidisciplinary projects within Finance, Logistics / Supply Chain and IT domain.

• Apply controls based on SOX requirements and support audit processes.

Who You’ll Work With

You will be part of the Financial Controlling team (±10 people) which is part of the central Financial Accounting & Controlling department. You work in close cooperation with the Financial Controlling departments, IT-department and Business Process Experts in other areas. You report to the manager of the Financial Controlling department.

What You Bring

We are looking for someone with a strong financial background and affinity with optimizing processes. A self-starter with strong organization and prioritization skills. You are result oriented, process minder and able to see the complete picture. With your excellent communications skills and serviced mindset towards stakeholder, you are able to model a solution that meets the requirements. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following profile:
 

• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance & Accounting.

• At least 5 years of experience in a finance related position, for example Financial/Business Controller, within an international production environment.

• We prefer experience with SAP within a production environment (ECC R/3, BW and S4/HANA) but are also open for candidates who used another ERP system.

• Advanced experience in MS Excel.

• Available for 32 – 40 hours.
