Color & System Consultant

40 hours per week, hybrid in Venlo (NL)

 

Your challenge as a Color & System Consultant

Your job as Color & System Consultant is to develop superior solutions for our customers. You combine your technical knowledge of workflow software, color management and business understanding to grow volume at our customer and thus growing Canon business. You are the interface between cross-functional teams and (Product Line) Management at Canon Production Printing, Canon RSHQ’s/NSO and customers.

 

Your challenge is to integrate workflow software solutions (Prisma Prepare, Access, and Direct), partner- and third party products within the different customer workflow- and application-environments. As a workflow software specialist with customer and commercial focus you know what makes system solutions successful, offering best fit solutions to customers also taking color management into account.

 

You conduct needs, assessments, feasibility studies, market/competitors analyses, define system solutions and prepare and support product launches worldwide. You deliver an important contribution to the strategic roadmap and product portfolio by identifying and proposing system and color management solutions that lead to operational excellence for our customers. To ensure successful development and implementation you liaise with your internal stakeholders - Product Development (R&D), Product Line Managers, and your colleagues of Strategic Planning and Marketing. You drive the introduction of new products and/or updates by developing deliverables (e.g. training, webinars, and documentation) for your counterparts at Canon RSHQ’s and NSO’s.

 

As a subject matter expert you guide your Canon colleagues - Product Managers and Consultants - during product launches or updates and the execution of (customer) projects. Next to this you provide technical support, scope and troubleshoot problems and you are responsible for certification processes and release for defined products. Furthermore you are responsible to project manage customization requests for the aligned products.

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a strong affinity for identifying market opportunities (for both current and new products) and considering them in a businesslike manner taking risks, achieving a business advantage. You also have good analytical skills for understanding and analyzing data in multiple formats and solving complex problems. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following requirements:

 

  • At least a bachelor degree combined with 3-5 years work experience as software engineer/designer, system consultant. Project Management (Prince2) experience is a plus.
  • Ability to convey ideas and opinions clearly to others.
  • A high level of written and verbal ability in order to communicate data and recommendations in compelling presentations.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire stakeholders and management.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel globally – 10% per year
