Component Quality Engineer

32-40 hours per week, in Venlo (NL)

 

Are you a young professional and eager to develop your career within the field of product quality engineering? For our innovation center in Venlo, the Netherlands, we are looking for a Quality Engineer in the field of water-based latex inks and the accompanying inkjet printing process.

As Quality Engineer at CPP you will start in the latex ink component team, consisting of experts with mainly chemical, physics and process  engineering backgrounds.

 

In this job you are responsible for:

  • Investigating quality specifications of latex inks, that safeguard their continuous excellent performance in the printing process
  • Investigating quality of printed applications (print quality and robustness), linked to the working latitudes of the printing process and ink properties
  • Developing and improving measurement methods for inks, prints and applications (finished print products)
  • Investigating properties of raw materials and of ink processing, and their link to ink performance
  • Defining and executing endurance tests on our printers incl hands on testing
  • Transfer of knowledge and measurement methods to the Manufacturing department (Quality Assurance)
  • Linking physical proporties to functional behavior in the printer (jetting proporties and print specifications)

 

What you bring

We are looking for someone that wants to have impact on the quality of our products. You like to perform hands-on tests on high tech printing systems and measurement setups. You have a strong quality mindset, so it a challenge for you to find issues as early as possible during the development trajectory of our latex inks. You are not afraid to learn and in parallel to challenge others to reach higher function and system quality. You are a team player in a multidiscipinary R&D environment, a good communicator with a positive critical attitude that can easily persuade others with your

independent quality view.

Next to that, you are/have

  • a professional with at least a Bachelor in Physics / applied science (or similar)
  • 0-5 years of experience at the interface between chemistry and physics
  • fluent in English, verbal and written. Dutch & German is a big plus
  • Design for six sigma experience and professional test competencies or are willing to develop those
  • permissioned to work in the Netherlands
