What You Will Do

 

As a print process researcher for media & ink interactions, you will translate complex physical/chemical interactions via modeling and data science into solution space for designs that lead to competitive and profitable print systems for our customers.

With your strong analytical skills, background in computational physics, preferably, with knowledge in paper physics / mechanics, enthusiasm and good communication you will contribute to developing the heart of our printer products.

 

You are responsible for

 

  • Developing and verifying new print processes – based on digital physics-/data-based tools like models and/or digital twins – in close contact with your colleagues in chemistry, mechanics, software and electronics.
  • Solving technical challenges in our product development process, for example in the field of ink/media interaction, print quality or fixation technologies.

 

Who You Will Work With

 

Our international organization has a flat hierarchy, so you will be working with lots of other people in an open, creative multidisciplinary and cross-site environment. That includes architects, designers and developers also from other departments and disciplines and sites. Typically you will work in small teams with 5 – 15 colleagues.

 

What You Bring

  • You have a Master degree or PhD in computational physics or a comparable educational background
  • You want to learn and to develop yourself, show pro-active and positive behavior
  • First experiences in leading teams, motivating people and in stakeholder management.
  • Capabilities to solve complex technical challenges by modelling and experimental approaches in a multi-disciplinary and -national teams.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and a strong drive for results.
  • Experience in the field of complex (paper)substrates ideally complements your profile.
  • Ability to speak business fluent English, German is a plus
