Job Description
Bsc: Internship Software Development - Make sure that software delivers, every time, also in reality

Make sure that software delivers – every time, also in reality
Do you have what it takes to assure that software delivers as promised, not as hoped? Promises are easy. Delivering them is where we excel. Can you help to improve? We are looking for you!

Your assignment
Canon develops printers for professional users, among which a family of wide format roll-to-roll printers such as the Colorado series.
For the scanning ink jet printers, Canon has developed a framework for testing the software of the print engines in a simulated environment. This environment has been extended to also test the startup behaviour for real print engines.

We want you to increase that scope.
In order to further extend the capabilities of the test framework, we would like to be able to automatically test situations in which the operator interacts with the print engine. This is a situation that is already available for testing simulated engines, by manipulating the engine in the simulator context. However, the current test framework is not possible to do this for the actual engine hardware. This assignment is about developing the changes needed to be able to achieve this.
Do you have what it takes to bring the print engine to life in a coordinated way?
