NMR method development
Are you good at organic chemistry and method development? Do you already know something about NMR and are you enthusiastic to bring this to the next level? Then read on!
Your assignment
You will develop a chemical method to stabilize the radicals formed by photoinitiators for analysis inside our state-of-the-art analytical equipment. With this method you can then study the process of photoinitiation. This knowledge will greatly help the development of our inks. The analytical technique you will use is Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy. Light-sensitive reactions will be done inside of the NMR so you can directly measure the response of the light.
Your profile
In order to fulfil the assignment, you must have accurate and precise laboratory skills as well as statistical knowledge. Next to this, you:
- are currently studying chemistry at BSc or MSc level in the fields organic chemistry or analytical chemistry.
- have already learned about NMR spectroscopy at school, and preferably already have some experience with the NMR technique.
- are available for 4 to 7 months for a minimum of 4 days per week, starting preferably in February.
What’s in it for you?
- A challenging assignment with skilled coaching
- Internship/ Graduation compensation of €500,- per month
