Are you an Industrial Product Design student looking for a graduation assignment? Do you like working on something practical that will actually be used on the production floor? We are looking for you!
Your assignment
In our production environment, modules are built in one hall and packed in another. The physical flow is clear, but operators in the packing area don’t have a clear view of what is coming next.
The goal is simple:
How do we make sure an operator knows something is coming, for example in 10 minutes, so they can already start preparing?
You will work on designing concepts that make this information visible and easy to understand. Not just on paper, but in a way that actually works in the hall.
Think about things like:
• showing what is coming and when
• using visual signals such as screens, lights or physical elements
• making sure an operator understands it in one glance
• keeping it simple and practical
You will spend time on the production floor, talk to operators and understand how they work. Based on that, you will design concepts that really fit their way of working. The focus is not only on analysis, but on creating solutions that can be tested or implemented.
