Bsc/Msc: Student Job - Inbound Material Planner
Are you currently enrolled in a Bsc or Msc program in the field of Supply Chain or Logistiscs Engineering, and available for a student job to gain some work experience in the field? Do you like to work closely with stakeholders like planners, buyers, warehouses and suppliers? This could be your student job!

Your job
As a Working Student Inbound Material Planner, you actively support daily operations in a high‑tech production environment by ensuring materials are available in the right quantities and at the right time. You are responsible for your own material scope and suppliers, taking ownership of follow‑up, communication, and issue resolution, with a strong focus on preventing material shortages that could disrupt production. By continuously monitoring material flows, identifying risks early, and collaborating closely with planners, buyers, warehouses, and suppliers, you directly contribute to production continuity and operational stability. At the same time, you gain valuable hands‑on experience in an international environment, work daily with SAP, and develop first‑hand insight into real‑world supply chain decision‑making, giving you a strong head start toward future roles in material planning or supply chain engineering.

You operate as a hands‑on Material Planner with responsibility for a defined supplier scope. Your work includes:

  • Owning and managing an order book for assigned suppliers
  • Actively monitoring delivery confirmations, delays, shortages, and open actions
  • Using SAP and Excel as daily working tools to maintain control and transparency
  • Proactively contacting suppliers to confirm status, clarify issues, and drive actions
  • Coordinating material topics with Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, and Assembly
  • Clearly documenting status, decisions, and follow‑up actions
  • Identifying and escalating material risks in time to prevent production impact

Your profile
We are looking for an Bsc or Msc student in Supply Chain Management or Logistics/Industrial Engineering who has a substantial amount of time available for a working student position, for example during a gap year or in the transition period between a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. In this role, you gain relevant hands-on work experience in the field you are studying. During the entire period, you must remain enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences. Preferably, you are available for around 32 hours per week and are willing to work mostly on-site at our office in Venlo.

What’s in it for you?
•   In this role, you gain relevant hands-on work experience in the field you are studying
•   A gross full-time monthly salary of €2,720.06
•   Travel cost compensation if you don’t have an ‘OV-weekcard’
•   The possibility to network with professionals inside and outside your field of expertise, thanks to our diversity of disciplines which you will work with
