Controlling Employee
(Fixed Assets & Master Data)
24-32 hours per week, Hybrid in Venlo (NL)
What you'll be doing
As a Controlling Employee, you play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial administration. You are responsible for fixed asset accounting, investment administration, master data management, SAP controls, and various month-end and year-end closing activities. Working closely with finance colleagues and stakeholders across the organization, you help ensure compliance, efficient processes, and reliable financial reporting.
You’ll be responsible for:
Fixed Assets & Investment Administration
- Process asset-related requests, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and cost center changes.
- Maintain and analyze fixed asset data in SAP.
- Prepare fixed asset reports, investment overviews, and commitment reports.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset controls.
- Support fiscal year closing and opening activities within Asset Accounting.
- Coordinate investment-related insurance requests and commitment carry-forwards.
Financial Closing & Reporting
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Prepare and process journal entries.
- Review financial postings and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor SAP interfaces and journal entry processing.
Master Data Management
- Create and maintain customer and vendor master data.
- Process change requests and ensure data quality and compliance.
- Create and maintain WBS elements and project structures.
- Manage authorization and role requests within SAP and related systems.
- Perform data quality checks and resolve business process errors.
SAP & Proces Support
- Support and maintain SAP financial processes and master data structures.
- Monitor IDocs, workflows, interfaces, and system errors.
- Maintain exchange rates and system control tables.
- Support workflow tools such as e-Ordering and x-flow.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Execute SOx controls and compliance checks.
- Monitor segregation of duties and authorization controls.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and governance requirements.
What you'll bring

- Vocational degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in finance operations, accounting, or financial administration.
- Strong knowledge of financial processes and month-end closing activities.
- Experience with Fixed Assets and investment accounting.
- Experience working with SAP (FI, FI-AA, Master Data).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and financial reporting.
- Proactive, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
