Hardware Service Product Specialist

40 hours per week, hybrid in Venlo (NL)

 

A challenging job for a bachelor of engineering seeking to widen his/her view, driving processes, service concepts and commercial relations.

 

What you’ll do

This role is pivotal in the delivery of high quality and high-end products, enabling the company to exceed customer expectations as well as the delivery of added value set out during product definition. Making sure that Canon Regional Sales (RSHQs) organizations will be optimally served delivering “best in class” service to our customers. You are a true technical service product champion in every aspect for one or more printing products developed by Canon.

 

You are part of a product team steered by a Service Product Manager. Within this team you drive  service concepts and quality processes during product development by translating service objectives in technical specifications in conjunction with product development (R&D) and Manufacturing, with specific focus on the hardware related aspects. To realize set service performance targets you define and discuss design requirements with respect to serviceability. Risk analysis, and safeguard product quality in combination with creating added value features for our customers are examples of these targets. 

 

To be successful you also liaise with our International Training Centre (ITC) all to ensure availability of training and documentation tools, necessary to service your product(s) and systems. You fully support the Canon sales organization(s) from the introduction phase through the lifecycle of a product with technical advice, as well support them in gathering customer feedback in order to prevent and solve (quality) issues when they arise, and take action towards your stakeholders to meet expectations. You are a problem solver, strong in coordinating solutions, and assuring internal and external parties are working  together on creating the solution that will contribute to a great customer satisfaction. What you bring

  • You have completed a technical college education, preferably Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent;
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and a strong results driven mindset; self-starter with tenacity to focus on opportunities and quality in a challenging international environment with multiple stakeholders;
  • Eye for detail and excellent problem solving skills;
  • You like to work in cross-functional teams;
  • Excellent communicator and able to present effectively in a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written. Profound knowledge of Dutch is a plus;
  • Available for 32-40 hours per week;
  • Willing to travel worldwide;
  • Living in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany
  • Eligible to work in the Netherlands;
