Learning & Development Specialist

40 hours per week, Venlo (NL)

 

What you’ll do

For our International Training Center (ITC) in Venlo we are looking for a Learning & Development Specialist. ITC designs and develops performance-driven learning programs for our CPP products for Canon Service organizations, partners, and customers worldwide.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive learning program. Your key task is to collaborate closely with service specialists to identify learning needs and translate them into effective training solutions. Your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Determine the most suitable learning methods, whether it is video, e-learning, hands-on- or virtual classroom sessions
  • Ensuring that the program aligns with the regional training approach and delivery capabilities
  • Play a key role in ensuring the quality and relevance of training for service technicians and customer maintenance specialists

 

While some learning programs will be handed over to regional teams, you will remain closely connected with local trainers and coordinators to ensure learning needs are met. In addition, you will also deliver selected training sessions yourself to maintain consistency and uphold high standards.

What you bring

We are looking for a versatile Learning Development Specialist with a passion for learning and technology to join our innovative team in Venlo. You demonstrate a high degree of initiative, solution orientation, resilience under pressure, and the ability to work independently. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Learning & Development, Education or a related field
  • A genuine enthusiasm for technical details and the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts
  • Preferably experience in a similar position, but we are also open to people with a technical background who want to develop themselves in the direction of training
  • Strong communication, intercultural and presentation skills
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to occasionally travel (worldwide) to Canon or customer sites
