Project Technician
36 – 40 hours a week, in Venlo (NL)



What You’ll Do
As a Technician specializing in Prototypes and Test Setups, you will be a key player in shaping the future of our products. Your role will involve building and maintaining prototypes of units and modules, providing valuable feedback to engineers and designers, and actively contributing to the enhancement of our products.

 

You’ll work on our latest innovations, where you'll be handling a mix of interesting tasks ensuring it will never get boring!

 You’ll be responsible for
As a Technician at Canon Production Printing, depending on you experience and personal interest, you can become responsible for the below mentioned topics:

  • Prototype creation: Build and maintain prototypes of units and modules for various stages of the product development.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers & designers, providing valuable feedback to enhance the quality and functionality of prototypes.
  • NX CAD System: Engineering mechanical parts for test setups and any changes made during the building process are fed back into the NX CAD system
  • Test Setup Development: Support test setups to address design questions, gather information for decision-making, and support lifetime testing.
  • Research and Design Support: Collaborate with engineers to identify optimal approaches for realizing effective test setups.
  • Optional Project Focus:  You can work on a variety of components such as media handling systems, high-precision frames, drive systems, print head mountings, fixation units, and other integral parts of our machines.

 

Who You’ll Work With
Our international organization has a flat hierarchy, so you’ll be working with a lot of other people in an open, creative multidisciplinary environment. That includes our other departments (electronics, software, physics, chemistry), designers, developers, and architects.

 

What You Bring
We’re looking for a team player who has:

  • Secondary vocational degree in mechanical engineering or similar (MBO)
  • 3-10 years of experience
  • Experience with Siemens NX or eager to learn
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to provide constructive feedback
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively work with your stakeholders
  • English speaking and writing skills

  • a competitive salary, depending on your experience and educational background (range €2.945 - €4.487 gross per month) (Range € 45,25 - € 65,75)
