Network Engineer
40 hours per week, hybrid in Venlo (NL)
Your role as network engineer
The ICS Infrastructure department is responsible for architecture, design, implementation and management of all IT Infrastructure solutions within Canon Production Printing. Solution areas include amongst other Datacenter, Networking, Server hosting, Storage and Azure Cloud services.
What you’ll do
Your main tasks will be:
- Maintenance and support activities in Campus, Datacenter and Wide Area networks and network security. CPP depends on the availability and performance of our infrastructure solutions. It is our primary task to ensure this according to agreed service levels and agreed price points.
- Project participation. Projects involve both solution oriented innovation projects as well as acting as infrastructure lead in business and application projects. Project and design scope includes CPP sites in Romania, Singapore and Australia and network integration with other Canon entities across the world.
Who you’ll work with
In this role you will be part of a team of 30 Infrastructure specialists based in Venlo, The Netherlands and Poing, Germany. You will have the opportunity to get in-depth experience in the solution area Networking in a highly professional IT environment. You do so by participating in projects and maintenance and support activities.
What you bring
- Bachelor level of thinking, capable to grow to more senior positions in Infrastructure
- Good understanding of and strong interest in IT Networking. 3-5 years of experience is a plus. CPP is migrating from Cisco to HPE Aruba switches and WLAN We use Check Point and F5 for Firewalls, Load balancing and VPN.
- Capable of focusing on efficient and effective operational excellence delivery within defined policies
- Team-player
Capable of engaging with internal and external partners and customers. - Living within 1 hour of CPPN location in Venlo, The Netherlands with a willingness to participate in on-call-duty schedules
- Good communication skills in English language. Dutch and German language skills are a plus.
