SCM Material Planner
32-40 hours per week, hybrid/on-site in Venlo (NL)
What You’ll do
- Manage Inbound Logistics & Supplier Relationships: Ensure the timely availability of parts for our global production sites. Actively manage orders and returns from suppliers, building strong, reliable relationships with key partners to prevent late deliveries.
- Order Management: Place, track, and manage orders with suppliers using ERP SAP and EDI systems to send and receive orders and keep information accurate.
- Issue Resolution: Monitor deliveries closely, follow up on missing orders or documentation, and ensure timely resolution of issues. Collaborate with colleagues from production, inbound, quality, purchasing, and warehousing to find effective solutions.
- Process Improvement: Initiate and carry out improvement projects, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- System Management: Use ERP SAP and EDI systems to manage orders, exchange information with suppliers, and maintain accurate records.
Who You’ll work with
You'll join the Supply Chain Management department within Manufacturing Machines at CPP, which develops, produces, and distributes high-end print systems. The team consists of 32 professionals, including logistics engineers and planners, all focused on ensuring parts are available on time and our products are delivered on schedule.
What you bring
- You live within a reasonable driving distance of Venlo
- Or are able to relocate on extremely short notice without the need for visa sponsorship or a prolonged relocation process
- MBO-4 or Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree
- Possible field of studies: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Technical, Administration, Business management, etc.
- If you're not familiar with MBO-4, it's a practical, hands-on education that combines practical skills with theory
- English: Comfortable communicating with suppliers and colleagues.
- Attention to Detail: Very precise in your work, ensuring no errors when entering data and maintaining accurate records.
- Data Analysis: Able to use data to predict demand and manage inventory.
- Process Improvement: Keen on finding areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Relationship Building: Good at building strong relationships with suppliers and maintaining open communication.
- Problem-Solving: Quick thinker who can find solutions to challenges and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Time Management: Efficient at managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility: Adaptable to changing situations and able to handle unexpected challenges.
What would be a plus
- Experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP to manage orders and inventory.
- Ability to speak Dutch and/or German, or willingness to learn Dutch.
