Service Product Specialist
40 hours per week, on location in Venlo (NL)
What you’ll do
As a Service Product Specialist, you are responsible for maintaining and improving serviceability, service programs, service tools, and service information for CTS (Cutsheet Toner Systems) products with a strong focus on engine controller software. You play a key role in supporting regional service organizations (RSHQs) and liaise with R&D program management in Venlo, Timisoara and Tokyo.
You collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Training, and Documentation teams to ensure up‑to‑date training materials and service documentation. Depending on the product lifecycle phase, you may also deliver technical update training. You identify risks related to products, parts, systems, or processes and initiate improvements to safeguard quality and continuity.
You support Canon RSHQs and Canon headquarters Tokyo during and after product introduction and maintenance releases, handle technical escalations, and ensure product quality standards are upheld. Throughout the lifecycle, you gather and act on feedback, coordinate issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure follow‑up actions are completed. You foster strong cooperation across all parties to deliver effective solutions that maintain customer satisfaction and reinforce Canon’s global service standards.
This position is based in Venlo, the Netherlands, and reports to the Director Service & Support CTS.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Maintaining and improving serviceability, service programs, service tools, and service information for CTS products.
- Supporting RSHQs and Canon headquarter Tokyo in achieving service performance targets and standards.
- Driving service concepts and quality processes with R&D and Manufacturing.
- Defining and discussing design and parts modifications to improve serviceability.
- Acting as the technical service expert for the CTS product portfolio.
- Ensuring up‑to‑date training materials and service documentation; providing technical training when needed.
- Identifying risks and initiating improvements to safeguard product quality and continuity.
- Supporting RSHQs during technical escalations.
- Collecting and acting on lifecycle feedback to prevent and resolve quality issues.
- Coordinating issue resolution and ensuring follow‑up actions are completed.
- Promoting strong cooperation across customers, R&D, Manufacturing, RSHQs, and Canon headquarters Tokyo.
- Ensuring solutions that uphold product quality, customer satisfaction, and Canon’s global service standards.
Who you’ll work with
The team of Service & Support CTS is responsible for the realization of service objectives for the CTS product range. Service & Support is therefore involved in the process of product life cycle management and technical support in the field. In CTS the focus and drive are operational and operational excellence oriented. Flexibility and creativity are key!
What you bring
We’re looking for a team player who meets the following requirements:
- A Bachelor Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology or an equivalent area.
- Experience within the technical customer service area, preferably with knowledge of CTS printing Systems.
- You have an open minded and professional “can-do” mentality and attitude.
- You are a team player, highly motivated and communicative.
- You have excellent communication skills, fluent in English verbal and written.
- You are a (technical) expert with strong planning/project management skills, decisive and you show a pro-active attitude.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills and a strong results driven mindset; self-starter with focus on opportunities and quality in a challenging international service business environment with multiple stakeholders.
- You are prepared to travel internationally a few times per year.
