Supply Chain Planning Teamcoach
40 hours per week, hybrid in Venlo (NL)
What You’ll Do
The Supply Chain Department within manufacturing is responsible for the development and improvement of lean supply chains to ensure timely availability of parts for our assembly operation as well as making sure our customers are served with the right printing products in the right time. When leading the outbound team, you lead the team of production planning and customer service.
As team leader you:
- Will be responsible for the performance of the team
- Lead the team through daily operations
- Contribute to continuous improvement by designing and implementing process improvements with all stakeholders. Physical flows as well as administrative flows in supporting systems
- Coach and develop your team and its individuals together with the manager of Supply Chain Outbound
- Report to the manager of Supply Chain Outbound
With your team you strive for:
- Ensuring delivery performance to Canon regions, while keeping the inbound supply chain as stable as possible and safety stocks at minimum levels
- Provide S&OP input on tactical level (up to 18 months scope)
- For all commercial items, you set up and maintain the Production Planning Architecture (SAP working method, stock levels, connection rates)
- Work on New Products Introductions. Together with the NPI team you develop forward-looking supply chain blueprints that fit our next generation printing products. Topics are for example selecting the right production planning method and outbound distribution network design
- Use lean methodologies (like Value Stream Mapping) to improve processes. Support the operational SCM departments at various manufacturing sites in developing, maintaining and improving processes and systems towards Integrated Business Planning.
Furthermore you are expected to lead by example and take initiative when there are process gaps and opportunities.
Who You’ll Work With
As a coach/team lead at SCM Outbound at CPP you operate in a global environment where you collaborate with interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams throughout the organization and the value chain. You are in contact with the Canon sales regions as well as the manufacturing shop floor. You work closely together with a lot of different colleagues on several levels (from shop floor to management). There is close cooperation with our Business Unit, Canon sales regions, inbound planning, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Quality and R&D. The outbound supply chain management department consists of around 10 tactical and operational planners.
What You Bring
We are looking for an action oriented team player with strong analytical skills and proven experience on problem solving. Next to that, you love to see theory in action and like going to the shop floor. With your outstanding interpersonal and communication skills you are able to quickly find your way in our organization and to build your internal network, which enables you to be successful and drive process improvements. In addition you are keen on developing colleagues in your team, supporting them in their personal growth.
- Master degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing organization
- Experience with lean manufacturing, production planning and contact with customers
- Preferably experience with New Product Introductions in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of SAP
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Profound knowledge of Dutch is highly advantageous.
