Environmental Reporting Expert
32-40 hours per week, hybrid in Venlo (NL)

What You’ll Do

You will analyze and report the environmental performance of our company, taking into account our operations and our products. You are at the center of our communication and reportings regarding environmental topics with Canon Inc. Headquarters in Tokyo. Your reports give insights to internal stakeholders so they can take informed decisions to reduce our environmental impact. In discussion with stakeholders you make recommendations to improve operational environmental performance and give advice on implementation. As a result of your reports and actions our company stays fit for the future with sustainable products and business processes.

 

Who You’ll Work With

You will be a member of the Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility team. This team works closely together with the Product Safety and Environment team. Your reports will be based on data from several other departments: Business lines, Manufacturing, R&D, Real Estate, Procurement, HR. You keep good contact with these departments so to keep them well involved in the reporting process. Also, your role requires you to gain knowledge of external developments regarding environmental reporting.

 

What You Bring

You have the skills to set up and maintain an effective database and reporting structure. You take ownership of the reporting processes. You understand what is necessary to develop  the methodology based on external developments, internal demands and necessary process adaptations. You are experienced in describing and implementing processes. You have a motivating and pro-active influencing style with which you involve the stakeholders who participate in the processes.

Besides that, you:

  • have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sustainability, Chemistry or Physics
  • have at least 3 years of experience in a reporting role
  • preferably have experience with carbon footprint calculations andISO14001 Management Systems
  • have affinity with Excel and SharePoint
  • are fluent in English
