About the job

A day in the life: An Equipment Engineer is a technical entrepreneur and leverage their network to create new technical solutions. You have day-to-day contact with internal and external stakeholders. You plan your projects carefully, come up with technical solutions and make sure this will be implemented by a machine builder. Documentation should be updated, so our technical maintenance department can perform maintenance after finishing the project. But if there is an urgent technical issue in the factory that cannot be solved by our maintenance department, you will be the person that can solve the most challenging issues that others cannot solve.

Your main challenges

One of our primary objectives is to reduce our carbon footprint. The challenge we face is operating our older factories without relying on gas. You will be responsible for developing technical solutions to achieve this goal.

In addition, safety has become increasingly important compared to 25+ years ago. Consequently, we need to upgrade the safety features of our equipment to meet current standards. You will be tasked with conducting a risk evaluation, creating an action plan, and implementing a technical solution to address these safety requirements.

In addition to addressing technical challenges, you will have the opportunity to contribute to enhancing our standard operating procedures. Should you identify an area for improvement, you will be given the chance to address it.
