Global Business Process Expert – Warehousing & return logistics
36-40 hours per week, hybrid in Venlo (NL)
Canon Production Printing (CPP) develops, produces and distributes high-end printing systems. The Manufacturing and Logistics organization of CPP is making use of standardized processes and systems to realize efficiency across departments and sites. The Operational Excellence team is maintaining and developing these processes and systems to ensure business continuity and to manage continuous improvement at the same time.
What you’ll do
As global business process expert you fulfill a central role and therefore you are in close contact with many stakeholders throughout the organization. In this role you maintain and improve existing processes and systems to support the different warehouse operations, focusing on Stage to Supply, Receive to Location and Return Logistics in warehousing. Continuous improvement on global level is our standard; always looking for opportunities for process improvement. You will work in close co-operation with the warehousing Key Users throughout the organization.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Analyze existing (demand planning related) processes and systems and define improvements to further develop the maturity level of these warehouse related processes, focusing on standardization, harmonization across different departments and on efficiency increase.
- Co-ordinate the definition of warehousing processes and return logistics for our future SAP S4HANA system.
- Lead projects to establish new (system supported) processes in the area of warehousing and return logistics. You are a change agent throughout the organization.
- Provide expert knowledge to the key users from the functional organization to solve issues in existing processes & systems. Examples of systems are; SAP and vertical lift modules.
- Maintain the relevant process descriptions in the CPP Quality Management System.
- Pro-active management of your global and local stakeholders.
- You will also be a back-up for other Global Business Process Experts.
Who you’ll work with
You will be part of the Operational Excellence Department in a team of eleven Global Business Process Experts and Program Managers. In the day to day work you will work together with a lot of colleagues, both from your department as well as from other departments at different sites, varying from colleague Global Business Process Experts, Program Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Manufacturing Managers, SAP Key Users, Canon Regional Logistics Managers, ICS specialists and many others.
What you bring
We are looking for someone with an energetic drive and good communication skills. You have strong affinity with ERP and other IT systems. Continuously improving processes and systems gives you energy. At the same time you are interested to keep the existing business processes running by providing support as the process expert. You consider yourself as someone who recognizes improvement opportunities, develops best practice solutions , implements these in the systems and is able to roll-out these improvements across different departments. To do so, you meet the following requirements:
- A Bachelor or Master degree in the related field
- Proven experience in warehousing processes and preferably in return logistics.
- Knowledge and proven experience with warehousing and return logistics processes in SAP
- Experience with leading multi-disciplinary project teams and able to co-operate with, to listen to and to convince different stakeholders throughout the organization
- Persistent and result driven change agent
- Excellent command of spoken and written English. Dutch and German is a plus.
- 36 to 40 hours available
