Are you a HBO IT student with affinity for real time embedded software? Do you want to work with real machines and want to be challenged? We have a challenging assignment for you!

 

Your assignment
At Canon Production Printing we work together with multiple international manufacturers to provide complete solutions for high value customers. During your assignment you will be working with actual printers and your result will be used for years by CPP R&D. During the project, you will go through the different stages of software engineering. From gathering requirements to testing, and all in between, including developing on real machines. you will develop in our state of the art model driven toolset, for Linux based platforms.

In our printer configuration we have the ability to control machines from other manufacturers. These machine can for example punch or crease the paper sheets. They are costly and not readily available within our R&D. To solve this you will be developing a hardware simulator based on one of our existing modules. You will be designing and developing the simulator software for an already existing CPP stacking module. 

You will work in the finishing team, this team consists of 4 embedded software engineers and a product owner. The team members vary in age and experience, therefor there is a lot to learn from everyone.

 

Your profile
•    You are currently studying HBO IT or HBO (Applied) Computer Sciences

•    You think it’s a challenge to design a new application that connects internal and external interfaces
•    You need to have affinity with embedded software and Linux
•    You need to have knowledge of GIT
•    You are available for 4 to 8 months for a minimum of 4 days per week
