General description:

We transport a lot of loose printed sheets in our highly productive printers. Ink, moisture and climate conditions can cause sheets to deform. During the verification of our machines, we want to test whether the transport of the sheets is robust enough to transport these deformed sheets. In some phases of our machine development we would like not to put ink on our sheets, so we are looking for a unit that can deform the sheets in a defined way for us. The assignment will consist of developing a unit that can deform the sheets and can be integrate into our machine,. If you are interested, creative and not afraid of a challenge, then this is an ideal assignment..

Activities: the assignment will consist of the following steps:

  1. Clarify the question, problems and challenges and translate this into the requirements for the design.   
    1. Information can be obtained by, his coaches and input from colleagues who have knowledge in this field.
  2. Generate ideas through a design approach that is in line with the courses of the Fontys.
  3. The idea that best meets the requirements will be translated into a design (breadboard / function test setup).
  4. Verify the test setup
    1. Making a test plan
    2. Execute test plan
  5. Reflect your remarks and recommendations.

 

Your profile

 

  • Studying MD/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent ( BSc-level)
  • Looking for an internship that sets an intriguing design challenge
  • Able to survey such a project a project and work independently
