International System Consultant
40 hours per week, hybrid in Venlo (NL)
What you’ll do
As an International System Consultant, you are the interface between cross-functional teams and (Product Line) Management at Canon Production Printing, RSHQ’s/NSO’s (Regional Sales Headquarters/National Sales Organizations) and customers. Your challenge is to integrate CPP workflow software solutions, partner- and third-party products within the different customer workflow- and application-environments.
You support the business to conduct needs/feasibility assessments. Based on their outcomes, you develop and implement systems and services, software and/or applications. Your goal is to ensure CPP products and services not only meet customer needs but also anticipate future ones so that we can keep our competitive edge. You deliver an important contribution to the strategic roadmap and product portfolio by identifying and proposing printing product and workflow solutions that lead to operational excellence for our customers.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Support the specification process by conducting a thorough analysis to scope demands and review these to understand market trends and impact related to the printing products and workflow solutions.
- Conduct the process of certification and release of defines solutions based on CPP and third-party products that fulfill objectives of the portfolio. You consult with the Regional System Consultants on configuration adjustments and other customized settings to enable/improve solution integrations.
- Prepare and support the introduction of new systems such that the Regional Professional Services organization can introduce, install, integrate and maintain these systems within set targets.
- Support the process of system implementation. Scoping and troubleshooting problems at an early phase to prevent further escalation.
Who you’ll work with
The department Professional services support the Canon regions and National Sales Offices (NSO’s) with workflows, applications, media (knowledge) and finishing the installed machines with the customer’s specific wishes. The team focuses on sheetfed inkjet products and services.
To ensure successful development and implementations you consult with your internal stakeholders e.g., Product Development (R&D), Product Line Managers, and your colleagues of Strategic Planning, Marketing and Service & Support. As a subject matter expert, you guide your Canon colleagues - Product Managers and Consultants from the Regional Sales Headquarters and NSO’s - during product launches or updates and the execution of (customer) projects.
You report to the Director Professional Services.
What you bring
We are looking for someone with a strong affinity for identifying market opportunities for both current and new products and considering them in a businesslike manner. You have strong analytical skills for understanding and analyzing data in multiple formats and solving complex problems. Furthermore, you meet the following requirements:
- Academic level of thinking combined with 10+ years of working experience.
- We prefer candidates with a software background and experience in a software-related position, but we are open to other technical backgrounds as well.
- Knowledge of Canon software products/solutions and color management is a big plus.
- Ability to convey ideas and opinions clearly to others.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire stakeholders and management.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel globally – 10% per year.
