Master Data Engineer

32-40 hours per week, Venlo (NL)

 

What You’ll Do

As a Master Data Engineer, you will develop concepts for the creation and maintenance of sales-related product master data and implement these in integrated processes (4P, SAP, CPMD). Furthermore, the following tasks await you:

 

  • Further development of business processes and their mapping in IT systems.
  • analyze the requirements of the development, production, logistics, product marketing, service and controlling departments.
  • Create independent solution proposals in the case of conflicting goals, documentation and in the optimization of coordination processes.
  • Initiate upstream processes for data procurement and coordination of the communication strategy.
  • Deposit and update master data and product structures throughout the entire life cycle.
  • The quality assurance of master data and the determination and implementation of product rules
  • Analyze and correct process malfunctions in master data further processing and order processing.

 

You will work on international projects to improve and standardize business processes in master data management.

 

Who you’ll work with

Our international MDM (Master Data Management) Team is responsible for the timely provision of complete and correct master data on behalf of the business lines. This responsibility includes the definition and maintenance of the necessary process, application and support infrastructure.

 

You’ll be working closely together with product managers, service, manufacturing, logistics, development, finance and our customers in the Canon sales regions.

We are looking for someone with an innovative character who is able to think about and define new processes. You will have the freedom to develop yourself in this position and implement the use of new technologies, like AI, RPA, or other technologies that you think you can benefit from. Besides that, you recognize yourself in the following job-requirements:

 

  • A Bachelor degree in a relevant field, like Computer science, with additional specialist qualification
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position where you worked with business process management and preferably master data
  • Preferably experience with SAP and/or Siemens Team Center
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English – verbal and written
