Material scientist / Ink designer

40 hours per week, in Venlo (NL)

What You’ll Do

Canon Production Printing is seeking a talented Chemist or Material Scientist with an academic background to join our innovative team in Venlo. As a key member of our Research & Development department, you will play a crucial role in advancing our cutting-edge printing technologies by contributing though the design and development of inks and advanced materials.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development in the field of chemistry and material science to develop inks and materials used in our products and understand their properties and behaviors.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary project environment, developing new printing products and contributing through the development of materials, especially inks.
  • Generate, analyze and interpret data to drive product innovation and quality improvements.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in chemistry and material science and apply new technologies and concepts to our CPP activities to ensure our products remain at the forefront of the industry. In particular you develop inks and materials that are essential to contribute to the CPP sustainability policy.

 

Who You’ll Work With

Our international organization has a flat hierarchy, so you’ll be working with lots of other people in an open, creative multidisciplinary environment. That includes our other departments, designers, developers, and architects.

 

What You Bring

We’re looking for a team player who has:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A inner drive to push the boundaries of technology and contribute to world class products enabling CPP customers to strive in their business.
