Are you a WO Chemistry or Materials Science student who is looking for an internship? Are you in for a challenge to develop sustainable UVgel inks for inkjet printing application? We are looking for you!

 

Your assignment
Canon UVgel technology is specially-developed for advanced printing based on UV curing principles. This technology retains the advantages of prevailing printer technologies, while eliminating many of the compromises. One of the successful products is our lately released Colorado series.
In the context of sustainability, more eco-friendly inks are desired. For this, we are developing a new generation of UVgel inks with integrated functions. With this new technology, we aim to broaden the application fields of our products ranging from high-quality graphics to sustainable packaging.
This graduation assignment is to design and formulate a range of sustainable UV inks with various reactive monomers for inkjet printing application. You will evaluate the ink performance such as curing efficiency and prints robustness, and need to investigate the influence of reactive monomers of different species on the prints quality.

Your profile
•    You have a research background in chemistry or materials science
•    You are experienced with coating formulation
•    You are a result-driven and self-motivated team player
•    You are available for 5-9 months for a minimum of 4 days per week; start date is flexible
