Professional Services Consultant

40 hours per week, Venlo (NL)

What you’ll do

As a Professional Services Consultant, you function as the link between internal teams, regional sales organizations, and customers. You integrate Canon printing products, workflow software, and third-party solutions into various customer environments.

You conduct needs and feasibility assessments, develop and implement end-to-end solutions, and support new product introductions through training and documentation. Sharing expertise on printing applications and software- and workflow solutions is a key part of your role.

You ensure our solutions meet current and future customer needs. Nothing comes automatically: you do this by influencing all internal stakeholders (e.g., in R&D projects) in an earliest stage, based on your knowledge of market requirements and well-developed organizational awareness. You also contribute to the strategic roadmap by identifying improvements that drive customer operational excellence. Your key responsibilities are:

  • Analyze and define requirements to steer the technology and solution development within R&D, in line with market trends.
  • Certify and release solutions, advising on configurations and integrations.
  • Prepare and support product rollouts with training and documentation.
  • Assist in implementation and troubleshoot early to prevent escalations.

Who you’ll work with

The Professional Services department supports Canon regions and National Sales Offices with workflow solutions, printing applications, media expertise, and customer-specific machine configurations—for sheetfed inkjet products and services. Your team, with the focus on sheetfed presses, consists of eight people.

You collaborate closely with internal teams like R&D, Product Management, Marketing, and Support to ensure smooth development and implementation. As a subject matter expert, you guide regional Product Managers and Consultants during product launches and customer projects.

You will report directly to the Director of Professional Services.

What you bring

We are looking for someone with a strong affinity for identifying market opportunities for both current and new products and considering them in a businesslike manner. You can deal with various stakeholders at multiple levels, and you want to develop further in a role at the intersection of sales/business and technology. Furthermore, you meet the following requirements:

  • Academic level of thinking combined with 10+ years of working experience.
  • A strong affinity with technology and eagerness to gain in-depth knowledge about the products.
  • Knowledge of Canon products/solutions, color management and the graphic market is a big plus. At least you are willing to develop this knowledge further.
  • Ability to convey ideas and opinions clearly to others.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire stakeholders, including senior (project) management.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel globally – 10% per year.

What you’ll get from us

As client needs are rapidly changing within the world of Production Printing, we offer you a challenging, international, and rewarding business environment with a high level of interaction with customers and representatives of Canon. This job offers you a great learning experience and good possibilities for further developments within the Canon organization.

Besides a challenging working environment, scope for personal and professional development you will receive an interesting package of employment conditions:

  • A competitive salary (range €6.250-€7.750, based on experience).
  • 38 vacation days.
  • Commuting allowance, extra 13th month pay (8,6%) and Holiday Allowance (8%).
  • Laptop and smartphone.
  • Training and professional development opportunities.
  • An interesting lease (e-)bike plan.
