What you’ll do

As a Service Product Specialist within Canon Production Printing you have a crucial role in the development and delivery of high quality, high-end products. Within the service product team you deliver “best in class” service to our customers. You resolve issues and coordinate problem solving with all parties involved and you actively pursue field feedback in order to prevent and solve (quality) issues when they arise.

 

You drive service concepts and quality processes during product development. This comprises translating service objectives in technical specifications in close collaboration with product development (R&D) and Manufacturing. For realization of service performance targets you define and validate design requirements with respect to serviceability.

 

Next to your key stakeholders at R&D and Manufacturing you also contribute in development and availability of service training, documentation, parts and tools required to service the product and system. You make risks apparent on content and process level to safeguard product quality and to co-create successful, value adding products for our customers.

In addition to that you support the Canon Regional Sales organizations (RSHQs) during and after the introductory phase by providing technical advice during escalations safeguarding (product) quality standards.

 

This position reports to the Service Manager and is based in Venlo, the Netherlands.

 

Who you’ll work with

You’ll be working closely together with the other Service Product Specialists. Key internal stakeholders are R&D, Manufacturing and the Canon Regional Sales organizations.

Next to your internal network, you’ll be in close contact with clients, providing service from distance as well as by visiting them all over the world. This means you’ll be travelling every once in a while.

 

 

What you bring

We are looking for someone who is customer service minded with the ability to understand customer and operational needs and tenacity to focus on quality and improvements. You are a self-starter with a strong results-driven mindset that wants to work in a challenging international environment with multiple stakeholders. Furthermore, you meet the following requirements:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a service-related or technical position (for example R&D)
  • You are a (technical) expert with strong planning/project management skills, decisive and a proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and preferably Dutch – verbal and written
