What you will do
As Supply Chain Engineer at Canon Production Printing you will analyze the current logistics processes and make them more effective and efficient. You are at the heart of the organization and ensure that both long-term and short-term objectives are met. With your strong analytical and organizational skills, you are able to timely identify bottlenecks, deploy the right colleagues, devise solutions and implement them.
In this role you will have a lot of contact with colleagues from the departments Supply Chain Management Machines, Purchasing, Production, R&D, Service and also with external suppliers.
An example
One of our suppliers of spare parts has a disruption in the supply chain which endangers the availability of service parts for our service technicians and thus the up-time of our printers at the end customers. Together with your colleague from procurement you will investigate what is going on and what the impact will be for the global supply chain. You will define crash actions to secure the supply of the service parts. Once resolved, you will also look how to improve this supply chain structurally, depending on the life cycle phase of this product. When the service demand decreases, you will work with the logistics planners to optimize stocks and improve process where needed.
Who you will be working with
You will become part of a team of 5 people who can't wait for you to start. Together we are responsible for the setup and optimal Supply Chain planning of spare parts for our printers. The team consists of both Supply Chain planners and Supply Chain engineers, each with their own part responsibility but with the same objective; good delivery reliability for our customers at the lowest possible cost and optimal inventory levels.
