Canon Production Printing develops, produces, and distributes high-end printing systems. As a Supply Chain Engineer at Canon Production Printing, you will operate in a global environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams throughout the organization and the value chain. The Supply Chain Department within manufacturing is responsible for the development and improvement of lean supply chains to ensure timely availability of parts and components for our assembly operation, as well as making sure our customers are delighted with the right printing products at the right time.
Your Challenge: Design, set up, and maintain robust supply chains with maximum material availability at minimum costs. Your main tasks include:
- Ensuring parts availability by managing supplier delivery performance and improving performance where necessary
- Working on New Product Introductions. Together with R&D, Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Procurement, you will select the right suppliers and realize the supply chain set-up for parts supply for our assembly operation
- Using lean methodologies (like Value Stream Mapping) to improve processes both internally and at our suppliers
- Setting up the supply chain architecture (inbound, warehousing, assembly, outbound, network design) for complex parts or products
- Supporting the operational SCM departments at various manufacturing sites in developing, maintaining, and improving processes and systems
- Traveling to our suppliers a couple of times per year
Furthermore, you are expected to lead by example and take initiative when there are process gaps and opportunities. You will work on several levels, from shop floor to management, and in close cooperation with Suppliers, Planning, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Quality, and R&D. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to a professional SCM department.

Canon Production Printing develops, manufactures, and distributes high-end printing systems. Within Manufacturing Machines, the Supply Chain Management department is responsible for the timely availability of parts through our suppliers (inbound), production planning, and on-time delivery of our best-in-class high mix low volume products within the Canon organization. The Supply Chain group consists of 32 people, both engineers and planners.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent level of work experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
What Would Be a Big Plus
- Experience with lean manufacturing, inbound planning, and supplier management
- Experience with New Product Introductions in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of SAP
- Proficiency in Dutch
