Supply Chain Engineer Outbound
32-40 hours per week, hybride in Venlo (NL)
Your role as Supply Chain Engineer Outbound
Canon Production Printing develops, produces and distributes high-end printing systems. As a Supply Chain Engineer at CPP you operate in a global environment where you collaborate with interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams throughout the organization and the value chain. The Supply Chain Department within manufacturing is responsible for the development and improvement of lean supply chains to ensure timely availability of parts and components for our assembly operation as well as making sure our customers are delighted with the right printing products in the right time.
Your challenge is to plan the production of our assembly factory in a resilient way;
- · Ensuring delivery performance to Canon regions, while keeping the inbound supply chain as stable as possible and safety stocks at minimum levels
- · Provide S&OP input on tactical level (up to 18 months scope)
- · Work on New Products Introductions. Together with R&D, Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance and the Business Unit you design and realize the supply chain and production planning set-up for our assembly operation and delivery of our products towards the sales channels
- · Use lean methodologies (like Value Stream Mapping) to improve processes
- · Support the SCM department in developing, maintaining and improving processes and systems. For example with supporting the improvement roadmap to Integrated Business Planning.
Furthermore you are expected to lead by example and take initiative when there are process gaps and opportunities. You work on several levels in our manufacturing environment from shop floor to management. All in close cooperation with the Business Units and sales regions. Together with your colleagues you contribute to a professional SCM department.
This position is based in Venlo.

We are looking for an action oriented team player with strong analytical skills and proven experience on problem solving. Next to that, you love to see theory in action and like going to the gemba. With your outstanding interpersonal and communication skills you are able to quickly find your way in our organization and to build your internal network, which enables you to be successful and drive process improvements.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
- Preferably you have;
- experience in a similar role within a manufacturing organization
- Experience with lean manufacturing and production planning
- Experience with New Product Introductions in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of SAP
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Profound knowledge of Dutch is highly advantageous
